Notarial acts

The working hours with the applicants for notarial deeds are from Monday to Thursday, between 10.00 and 17.00. The service is provided by prior appointment.

The appointment is offered from Monday to Friday between 10.00 and 17.00, at the e-mail address: beijing@mfa.gov.md , citing the reason, the name / surname of the applicant and a telephone number.

MAIN NOTARY ACTIONS PERFORMED BY THE EMBASSY

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova temporarily or permanently residence abroad may obtain certain notarial services at the Embassy, such as:

• Authentication of the power of attorney;
• Authentication of the will;
• Authentication of the contract, except for the contract of alienation of real estate and the contract of pledge;
• Taking measures to guard the succession assets;
• Legalization of signatures on documents;
• Legalization of copies of documents and extracts from them;
• Carrying out and legalizing the translation of documents and extracts from them;
• Certification of certain facts, in cases provided by law:

a. Certification of the fact of the person being alive, of the fact of the person being in a certain place;
b. Certification of the identity of the person with the person depicted in the photo;
c. Certification of the time (date) of the presentation of the document.

• Receiving documents for storage;
• Issuing duplicates of notarial deeds drawn up by the diplomatic mission;
• Preparation of sea protests;
• Providing evidence.

CERTIFICATION OF THE AUTHENTICITY OF PHOTOCOPIES

In order to certify the photocopies on the original documents issued by the competent bodies of the Republic of Moldova, the citizens are to present themselves at the Embassy, according to the work program, presenting the following documents:

• a valid identity document or an authorized photocopy of it (passport for travel abroad or identity card);
• the original of the document whose photocopy is to be authenticated.

NOTE: On 08.04.2011, Law no. 21 of 17.02.2011 for the completion of article 42 of Law no. 1453-XV of 08.11.2002 regarding the notary.

According to paragraph 4 of Article 42, in the absence of identity documents, diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova establish the identity of the person based on information from the State Population Register.
Therefore, with the entry into force of the law in question, citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be provided notarial consular services (authentication of proxies and translations, legalization of signatures on declarations and other documents, certification of authenticity of photocopies, etc.) regardless of the status of identity document Moldovan detainee (expired, valid, lost, stolen, damaged, etc.).

NOTARIAL AUTHENTICATION OF PROCEDURES

The Embassy authenticates proxies, through which one or more persons may empower another person or several persons to represent their interests in order to carry out legal actions.
In order to authenticate the power of attorney, the citizens must present themselves in person at the Embassy presenting the following documents:

• a valid original identity card or a photocopy of it (passport for travel abroad, identity card);
• copy of the identity document of the person you empower, or the exact information regarding the name, surname, date and place of birth, address of permanent residence, number, date and place of issuance, the issuing authority of the identity document of the person you empower;

The proxy must be signed personally by the applicant at the Embassy headquarters in the presence of the consular agent.
